February 2026

Last year, we asked VCSE groups what safeguarding support would be most helpful for the sector. Thank you to everyone who completed the survey, as your feedback has helped shape what comes next.

We’re pleased to announce the launch of our Community and Voluntary Sector Designated Safeguarding Lead Network, starting on 11th March.

This will be a safe, supportive, and non-judgemental space for Designated Safeguarding Leads to:

✅ learn and share good practice

✅ discuss key safeguarding topics

✅ ask questions and raise concerns

✅ gain practical, informative support

These sessions will be operational and learning-focused, rather than strategic and are designed to support you in your day-to-day safeguarding role.

We hope this network will be a valuable resource for organisations working with children and/or adults.

👉 Please note: this meeting is specifically for the Designated Safeguarding Lead in your organisation.

The first session is taking place on Teams on the 11th March from 12:30pm-2:00pm. Please visit our events page for more details.

If you missed the survey and would still like to provide feedback around what would be useful for your VCSE organisation so we can best support you please complete this survey.
