In Barnsley, they are proud to be delivering projects on behalf of Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council, working closely with local partners to ensure our work creates lasting social, economic, and environmental benefits for the community.

They are committed to creating positive social value - supporting local people, organisations, and communities in practical and meaningful ways and are therefore opening up an opportunity for VCSE’s in Barnsley to apply for support for projects they that would bring meaningful impact to communities.

Specifics

• The project must benefit Barnsley (this could be because the organisation is based in Barnsley or the organisation is based elsewhere but provides support to the people of Barnsley)

• Your organisation must be in the VCSE sector e.g. unregistered charity/community group, registered charity, social enterprise, charitable membership body

Support projects could range from:

• helping to transform a derelict space into a mindful and creative space;

• transforming a community garden;

• practical assistance such as repairs or improvements to a local community centre.

• Volunteering time from our employees

• Pro bono professional support, including project management, planning, and organisational support

• Donations in kind, such as materials, equipment, or skills-based support

• Access to expertise across construction, sustainability, health & safety, digital, and wellbeing

• Support from our wider team, including consultants, designers, architects, and supply chain partners
