Mobility Aids - Support Volunteer - Manvers

This role is key to the organisation and will help you make a great contribution to the work of the British Red Cross. Whether it is helping with a service when they’re busy, lending a hand in IT or marketing or undertaking tasks around one of our centres, you will get involved in a great cause. You will be bringing some of your own knowledge and experience to the role and you will also have the chance to develop workplace skills.

Days required: Mon AM, Mon PM, Tues AM, Tues PM, Weds AM, Weds PM, Thur AM, Thur PM, Fri AM, Fri PM

Recruitment process:

Core learning/requirements
Approximate training hours 3.5.

Minimum Induction – within 3 weeks
Has been introduced to Line Manager and role description discussed

Has been given a H&S briefing pertinent to the site they will normally be operating from

Has been familiarised with any equipment required to carry out the role

Has received any workwear, if required for the role

Full Induction – within 3 months

Accreditation of Prior Learning and Experience (APEL)

You need to have good interpersonal, communication and teamwork skills although full training can be given for any technical requirements. We keep the beneficiary at the heart of what we do, working to understand their needs and the difference we make. Also someone who is:

Available to help out with a variety of tasks as agreed
Interested in learning more about the organisation and the humanitarian world
