My Guide
Hosted by: The Guide Dogs for the Blind Association

My Guide is a great service to increase your own personal skills and to have the opportunity to help people with a visual impairment. Within the role, you are partnered with a visually impaired individual based on similar interests. Amongst yourselves you agree on a activity plan, which you then partake in for a couple of hours once a fortnight. By doing this you are increasing their confidence to go out in the community and giving them the opportunity to do things they previously could not do. This is also a great opportunity for you to socialise with new people and perhaps to do different activities.
