This role will involve engaging with visitors to The Civic, in our gallery, or theatre, or public hire spaces. Volunteers will learn about The Civic, our Visual Art and Theatre programme and share this knowledge with visitors.
If you think that you would like to develop other practical skills, or you think that you may have skills that would benefit The Civic, then there will also be additional volunteering opportunities behind there scenes; either in the gallery, in our marketing team or at our community events.
We are happy to create opportunities based around your interests, skills and any aspirations or skills you wish to develop.
Days required: Tues AM, Tues PM, Weds AM, Weds PM, Thur AM, Thur PM, Thur EVE, Fri AM, Fri PM, Fri EVE, Sat AM, Sat PM, Sat EVE, Sun PM
Recruitment process: If you register interested in a volunteering role at The Civic, we will send you a short application form, in which you can tell us a little about yourself, your interests and any skills you may have or wish to develop.
We will then contact and/or arrange an informal interview with you and discuss which volunteering opportunities would be best suited to you.

• A passion for or a willingness to learn about the theatre and the arts
• Excellent time management
• Excellent customer care skills
• Good communications skills.
• Strong team player
• A good understanding of South Yorkshire and its communities.
