Wombwell Charity Shop Helper
Hosted by: Bluebell Wood Children's Hospice

We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated individuals to help maintain the efficient running of our charity shops. This is an exciting and rewarding opportunity to meet new people and help to make a real difference to the families who visit the Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice.
Key tasks for shop volunteers:
We need volunteers to help with some or all of the following:
• Receiving and sorting donations received at the shop
• Sizing, tagging, hanging and steaming garments
• Helping to make sure that sales floor is adequately stocked
• Working on the sales desk
• Working on the Till (specific training will be given if you are selected for this role)
We are looking for help every day, times to suit.

Days required: Mon AM, Mon PM, Tues AM, Tues PM, Weds AM, Weds PM, Thur AM, Thur PM, Fri AM, Fri PM, Sat AM, Sat PM

Recruitment process:

Volunteers will be sent an application form and contact details for the shop manager, Kath Tindle. Volunteers should return the completed application to the shop and contact Kath for an interview. They must also provide two referees who are not relatives. Depending on how quickly the references are returned the whole process could be completed within a few days.

Skills and quaifications:

We are looking for volunteers who:
• Have a few hours to spare each week to help either behind the scenes or on the sales floor. Training will be given.
• Are flexible
• Are friendly
• Are willing to be part of a team
• Have respect for staff, volunteers an members of the general public
• Have good communication skills as you will be meeting with the general public
