Be Part of the Outdoors - Worsbrough Mill

Worsbrough Mill Museum and Country Park is a working industrial museum producing flour in a water-mill which dates to 1625. Set in 200 acre parkland and reservoir linked to the Transpennine Trail.

Our gardening volunteers work alongside our staff to maintain, improve and develop our outdoor spaces, provide a friendly welcome to visitors, help visitors to discover more about our outdoor spaces by helping with interpretation and answering questions , are advocates for our venues and promote our services such as venue hire, retail and other ways of getting involved e.g fundraising or volunteering.

Duties include raking, edging, weeding clearing & tidying, pruning, planting and digging

Days required: Tues AM, Weds AM

Recruitment process:

Upon receiving email enquiry, volunteers are invited to attend a Wednesday morning session, this is a chance to meet staff, find out more and have a go. We aim to respond within a few days with potential dates.

Skills and quaifications:

The role would suit enthusiastic and friendly individuals with an interest in the outdoors/horticulture/history who enjoy meeting people, enjoy being part of a team and who are keen to learn
