Our Place (Barnsley) provides support to adults with learning disabilities.
We operate drop in sessions three days per week, including Saturday’s, where people can come and meet their friends.
We have various activities available such as arts and crafts, quizzes, bingo, karaoke and much more!
Do you like music? Do you enjoy singing a tune or two on the karaoke? Would you like to make a difference AND get to do a bit of singing while you are doing it? Then this role could be for you!
Our Place are currently looking for budding karaoke singers that can help run and support clients to take part at our weekly karaoke session. The session runs on a Wednesday evening between 5.30pm and 8.30pm. You can do more hours if you would like, but just an hour within that session would make a huge difference to our clients.
Days required: Weds EVE
Recruitment process: If anyone is interested in becoming one of our Karaoke Crooners, then please register your interest below or email Ourplace_barnsley@gmx.com and we will be in touch to have an informal chat.

What’s important is that our clients have a great time while they are with us, as should you. We have several clients that enjoy a good old sing on the karaoke and they would love someone to help lead the activity with them, teach them new songs and just have a laugh!
All we need is your voice and music knowledge, and hope you have a great time while you are doing something you enjoy, which in return will ensure our clients have a great few hours too.
No formal qualifications are required. You don’t even need to be the best singer, just have a passion of singing, karaoke and some technical ability to set up the karaoke machine and change songs (it’s really easy!).
You don’t need to provide your own equipment as we have a karaoke machine already, but would welcome any new songs you would like to introduce to the group.
